Group Therapy: We offer group psychotherapy to our children in which they can talk to specialist while being in the comfort of others in a group sharing their stories. Research shows that participants in group therapy gain an understanding that they are not alone in facing issues of trauma and sexual abuse, having a safe haven in which to practice actions with safety, security and support of the group. It provides a unique opportunity for self and interpersonal learning, allowing the children to address the effects of interpersonal victimization, children benefit from the understanding and support of peers who have had similar experiences.

Mentorship Program: We believe that having someone who is there for you as a mentor to talk freely, someone you consider a friend and look up to, can help ones mental health. We have several volunteers who would like to sponsor our children who need it. Mentors do not serve the same role as psychologist or parents, they are a trusted friend, a voice of encouragement and listening ear. Our mentors spend quality time with their mentees, introducing them to activities that will expand their horizons. Children who are connected with a caring adult at an early age will more successfully maneuver through life’s obstacles.

Psychologists Sessions: One-on-one sessions with professional psychologist, here the child is open to talk freely and get the help they need through one of our psychologists. Abuse leaves psychological wounds, which can sometimes be harder to heal than bodily injuries. Abuse impacts a person’s ability to form relationships, survivors may experience anxiety and flashbacks. These effects do not have to be permanent; a therapist can help abuse survivors overcome challenges and address symptoms.
